This web site, Jeffersonstate.com, was developed in the fall of 1998 to bring attention to the plight of the local economies along the mountain border region of northern California and southern Oregon.

Another reason was to bring attention to the attack on private property rights along the Klamath River, it's tributaries and the Klamath Basin. Klamath Basin Crisis

Our activities have  mainly been information and news gathering and promotion.

Secession and state formation have been on the back burner until recently, but the idea has been brewing for some time.
