Jeffersonian Prayer

Spoken by Judge John Childs during his inauguration as governor of Jefferson

In the 16th verse, Chapter 12, of Kings in the Old Testament, we find the following scripture:

So when all Israel saw that the King hearkened not unto them, the people answered the King saying, "What portion have we in David? Neither have we inheritance in the Son of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David." So Israel departed unto their tents.

Modern Version

So when all the good people in the California-Oregon border counties saw that the governors hearkened not unto them, they answered the governors saying, "What roads leading to strategic minerals for national defense do we have in this land? Neither have we roads in the same regions in the land of Oregon. Then to your tents, O Jeffersonians. Now see to thine own houses, governors." So the Jeffersonians departed unto their tents.
