The State of Jefferson movement sounds like a good idea whose time may be at hand. Any time a group can reduce the influence of "government" over "reasonable" individual actions, is desirable. (Reasonable being defined as any action that doesn't interfere with other individuals, or groups beyond their willingness or ability to tolerate without "just" compensation.) (Just being defined as what either party would be willing to offer to receive similar benefit. This could range anywhere from simple courtesy, ie: please, thank you, pardon me, to financial recompense for exchange of property, real or otherwise.)

Thus a new boundary including portions of southern Oregon, northern California, northwest Nevada and southwestern Idaho should continue to work towards forming their own Great State!

I am currently living in the state here, I recently signed citizenship papers with the CSA. Yes we are reforming the Southern CSA, you can check it out at www.csagov.org. I would be in favor of forming or even helping form a (Southern Style State or Nation) The principals were sound enough 140 years ago. They have not changed, we have...But we can through joint effort change our destiny's.  As Our beloved Robert E. DMV fees, regulations on land use, coastal commissions and the price for goods to be shipped to our area. Fishing & timber reg's. The list goes on and on. What's it going to take for the citizens of our region to finally say; "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?" Can it be done? Of course it can. This is AMERICA.... Can it be done tax free and with wooden coin? Due to decisions of the Ninth Circuit Court, the State of Jefferson is losing more jobs, future and hope. I believe that this country was formed by a few great men and women; it will take the same to re-establish our "government for the people and by the people". The loss of Oregon & California Railroad timber receipts to the SW Oregon and Northern Calif. regions is causing a crippling effect on communities once safe with better law enforcement and roads to travel. It is time to stand up and require the federal government to not "breach their 1937 O&C Contract" with these communities, but to either give the O&C Lands back to the counties or pay the tax loss on every acre of land as a tax payer does. Keep up the good fight!!!

I want to help make this a reality. Politicians are not listening to us. This would strike terror in their hearts, as well as help save America. How can we put this thing into high gear? There are 2 of us ready & able to move to our new state soon, & 3 more would eventually follow. I think once this thing gets rolling, there are more people out here interested than you may think. Most people have just never heard of the concept. I learned of it several years ago, but did nothing. I guess its going to take more people being more vocal to make it happen.

I, too, live n an area that once applied for admission to th union as th state of Franklin, historically referred to as "the lost state." Eastern Tennessee & western North Carolina suffer many of th same type of political, social, & economic insults that southwestern Oregon & northern California do. Also, since i spent some time travelling thru your beautiful country n th early 1970s on a lengthy xcountry hitchhiking trip, i think i can reliably attest that th populations of th two regions share th favorabl characteristics of independence & industry, tho, regrettably, over time th incessant bludgeoning of a nannyistic (euphemistically put) national government tends to xtirpate these valuabl traits. It is th greatest desideratum to reduce th distance btween th political nucleus & th social cytoplasm n any society. Sacramento & Salem pander to th vested interests that reside elsewhere n your states, as do Nashville & Raleigh on this end. I gladly applaud your efforts & i will do all that i can to publicise those efforts. (P.S., this idiographic spelling is th way i wish ti to b & not th result of laziness nor lack of proper orthographic knowledge.)
