The ground of liberty is to be gained by inches, and we must be contented to secure what we can get from time to time and eternally press forward for what is yet to get. It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good.

For, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I've been curious, interested, supporting this movement in theory for so long, I'm glad I found you.  My question is, I'm a writer and think this would make an excellent movie. Has anyone ever thought to bring this drama to the screen? I think it would be an excellent film.

I really enjoyed my visit through the State of Jefferson to visit Redding (Northernmost In-N-Out), The Capital Yreka and especially Hwy 69 along the Klamath river to Seiad Valley where the cook at the Seiad Valley Inn made the comment which I will always remember "Nothing is finer than to be sitting here eating pancakes in the Great State of Jefferson!" I will return as often as I can to the peace and solitude of the SOJ.
