We need a forum to communicate on.  Does anyone know of one?  A friend of mine and I created www.JSmotorsports.org for automotive enthusiasts, but is there a forum for the pure movement of secession?   If there is no online forum for communication I will look in to creating one very soon and will repost on here with the website address.

I believe in the venture of liberty. As I combat veteran I fought for the freedom and principles this country was founded on, yet find less of those in existence. I am an advocate of personal liberty and states rights. I endorse this cause in the hopes it demonstrates we are citizens, not subjects.

Just a thought or two here:  I think that for separation from OR and CA  to become a reality for Jefferson State, it has to be financially feasible, that in order to be granted statehood or even have it looked at seriously, we need to be, whether other states can, at the moment or not, able to pay our own way. Since in much of CA's north state (at least in parts of Shasta Co.) welfare requests are high, right along with unemployment, we may need to think in terms of extending the borders of this great new state far enough south as to include the Gold Rush/Sacramento  area...tho it (Sac) would no longer be the state capital of anything, the Bay Area and maybe even as far south as the Big Sur (too beautiful to belong to some other state).  The Sac and Bay areas are wealthier dollar-wise than we up here are, per capita.  Granted, they also have more infrastructural needs than the north state as a whole, but surely we can work that out.  Then maybe the line of secession should go east to include the tourist destinations of Yosemite NP (let CA have the rest of the High Sierra) and the southern Carson Valley as long as Carson City was willing to forgo it's role as NV's state capital. (Perhaps gambling should be legal in this new state of ours, why waste all those lovely big casinos, tho NV, it seems is having it's own fiscal problems in spite of the tax dollars gambling brings to it.)  Our state line could then go north, zigzagging around Reno? and on up into OR, the northern boundary to be determined at least in part by current Oregonians wishing to secede from their state as we now know it.  I could be wrong, but we suffer at the hands of the wealthy and more heavily populated south (CA) and north (OR), but we might in fact need some cities large enough to help us support ourselves financially as a state and with a population large enough to help us make ourselves a presence in our nation's capitol.  By reaching from the coast, starting mid OR south to mid CA to the east beyond the Sierra and the Cascades, we encompass some of the most beautiful and often visited parts of both states...places we can enjoy for ourselves and that will also attract tourist $$$.  That would also leave much of the control of what happens in these areas in our hands...not our neighbors.  As I say, just some meanderings of the mind....

In the one-thing-leads-to-another way that defines so much of our lives, I only just learned of Jefferson State.  Without doubt or exception, it is the most Reasonable proposal that has been put forth this entire grossly long and grossly expensive Campaign Season.  With respect, I disagree that a sovereign Jefferson State has a snowball's chance in hell.  On the contrary.  With as rapidly as we are careening toward flat-out/all-out Socialism -- combined with increased national security threats and decreased resources for providing protection therefrom -- I spy a snowball's chance in Tahoe in February.  Perfect timing, too.  I am searching for a place to live in peace and freedom, and Eureka is just as pretty as a Visitor's Bureau brochure.
